For sale is our beloved 2006 Cobalt 240. This is by far the best boat I have ever owned and I am going to miss her. She has nearly every option. The engine (8.1 GXi, 420hp) alone was over $15k over the base engine (Volvo 5.0 GXi, 270hp).
My family and I have had a blast in it over the years. And with the 420 hp engine, it can do anything. Unlike any boat I have ever had, 40-60mph is nearly instant, very impressive. I am sure it could pull up as many skiiers as you can throw at it.
With seating for 15 people, it is also extremely roomy and comfortable.
This boat does NOT have a trailer. But I can help arrange to get one locally and get the boat on a trailer if you want one.

Playing at Bird Island in Nassau Sound. Yes, this is a salt water boat, but it has closed cooling and is flushed after every use.
![](boat3.jpg)
Anchored at Bird Island.
![](boat4.jpg)
Rear Quarter View. Great swim platform and extended swim platform. The left hatch gives deep access under the entire side seat. Center hatch has space for fenders. Right hatch in the floor has heated life jacket storage.
![](boat5.jpg)
Bow Quarter View. Notice the bow seats, molded for lounging and comfort. The windshild locks down with stainless hardware, there is also a divider door under the windshild.
![](boat6.jpg)
All hardware is very tough Stainless Steel. Here you can see the optional SS docking lights.
![](boat7.jpg)
Another shot of the bow seats. Also included but not pictured are the filler cushions which make this one big lounge space. Also there is storage under all 3 seats here. Good for life jackets and safety gear.

![](boat9.jpg)
Tight fit. Largest engine offered, 8.1 liter (496 cubic inch) Volvo V-8, pushing 420hp. This boat cruises all day long at 40mph. The top speed is a solid 65, but I have seen higher on GPS under perfect conditions (this is way too fast and this boat has almost never seen full throttle). Also has the fun Captians Call exhaust. Quiet when wanted, muscle car loud when feeling tough.
![](boat10.jpg)
Center view from inside. The glove box houses the am/fm/cd stereo, and the whole door hinges open to reveal the head. It has a porta pottie with a holding tank, plus a pump out with mascerator. Me and my family have never used the head, the space makes for great storage.
![](boat11.jpg)
169 hours since new. It has been serviced with a 100 hour service every september regardless of hours.
![](boat12.jpg)
Beautiful wood gauge cluster, and aircraft style switches. Also has easy push button circuit breakers under the dash.
![](boat13.jpg)
This is inside the hatch under the front drivers side seat. It is a massive storage space that currently houses the filler cusions as well as all of the stereo components (10 disc changer, amps etc).

Shot looking rear.
![](boat15.jpg)
Here you can see the anchor locker. in the bow.

Another front quarter view
![](boat17.jpg)
The blue on the sides is still extremely shiny, no sun fade here. The boat is always covered in a full sunbrella mooring cover with side skirts. All blue on the boat is shielded from the sun. Also, the bimini top is in great shape even though it doesn't look like it here. That is just pollen, a good rain and it will be spotless again.
![](boat18.jpg)
The boat sitting at the dock at caps, with the bimini folded. I am really going to miss this boat.
![](boat19.jpg)
On the lift with the full mooring cover. Here you can see how it covers all the blue gelcoat. Again, it is not beat up, just covered in pollen.
![](boat20.jpg)
Another shot of it on the lift.
![](boat24.jpg)
Another shot of it on the lift, you can see the tonneau covers on instead of the full canvas. I only used these covers occasionally, like if I was going to take it back out the next day.
